Whanganui & Partners 'Weekend Getaway' Competition.

Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Entry is only open to individuals over 18 years in New Zealand who register via URL. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter.

Promotion commences at 11am (NZST) on 17/07/2023 and final entries close at 3.00pm (NZST) on 14/08/2023 (“Promotional Period”). No further entries will be accepted after closing. Whanganui & Partners reserves the right to extend or terminate the Promotion for any reason. The Prize vouchers will expire on 14/08/2024.

To be eligible to enter, Relevant Persons need to submit an entry as follows or in such other form as the Promoter expressly consents to in writing (Eligible Entry):

  • Enter your email address

  • Enter your contact phone number

  • Choose your type of getaway

  • Agree to the terms and conditions

  • Each entry will receive a unique number

  • The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any if an authorised representative submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

  • Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

  • Only one (1) registration is permitted per an authorised representative.

  • The Prize Draw will take place at Whanganui & Partners, 179 Street Hill Street, Whanganui 4500 New Zealand on 15/08/2023 (“Draw Date”). The winner will be drawn on 15/08/2023 on the Promoter's Instagram page @discoverwhanganuinz. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • To win the prize you must be 18 years at the date of the Promotion commencing. In the event that the winner does not meet the age requirement, a second prize draw will take place.

  • The first valid entry drawn by the Promoter held on the Draw Date will win $2,000 in Prezzy Cards to spend in Whanganui (valid from 1 year from competition closing date) as (the “Prize”). The “Prize” must be collected from Whanganui & Partners, 79 Street Hill Street, Whanganui 4500 New Zealand within six months of the Draw Date.

  • The prize cannot be transferred for cash and Whanganui & Partners is not liable for any other costs as part of the Promotion.

  • A second draw for the Prize, if unclaimed, may take place on 21/08/2023 (“Unclaimed Prize Draw Date”) at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. The winner will be drawn on the Promoter's Instagram page @discoverwhanganuinz within two (2) business days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw Date.

  • If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any authorised representative; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.

  • Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the individual's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.

  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Law Act 2010 (Cth), or Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ), or Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of New Zealand (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”).

  • Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.

  • Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by an Eligible Business; or (f)use of the Prize.

  • The Promoter collects personal information of authorised representatives in order to conduct the Promotion. The information you provide will be used for the purposes of this Promotion and other tourism-related marketing completed by the promoter. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the authorised representative. A request to opt out, access, update or correct any personal information held by Whanganui & Partners in connection with this Promotion by an authorised representative of an Eligible Business, should be directed to the Promoter’s Privacy Officer, Whanganui & Partners, 179 Street Hill Street, Whanganui 4500 New Zealand.

  • Winners and/or guests shall not, while using The Prize Promotion vouchers, display or publicise any political slogans or homophobic language, images of a lewd or explicitly sexual nature, images containing logos of competitors and overt brand sponsorship or anything else deemed to ambush marketing or abuse of Whanganui & Partners, content which is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise unsuitable or infringes others’ rights (including intellectual property rights) or reflects negatively upon any of Whanganui & Partners. Each entrant agrees and acknowledges that any breach of this clause 16 will cause significant damage and loss to Whanganui & Partners.

  • The Promoter may pass personal information relating to Prize winners to any of their service providers or stakeholders for the purposes of monitoring the distribution and use of The Prize vouchers and related experiences and, in the event of a suspect breach of any terms and conditions, rules or regulations of Whanganui & Partners relating to the use of such tickets and/or experiences, investigating and taking action against such winners.

  • The Promoter is responsible for the operation of and all matters and concerns relating to the promotion, not its stakeholders all of whom shall not be responsible for or liable to entrants in any way whatsoever in connection with this promotion.

  • All entries become the property of the Promoter.

  • The Promoter is Whanganui & Partners (New Zealand).
